Did U Know - Juice What A Surprise Best Juicer Recipes For Health And Beauty

Juice What A Surprise Best Juicer Recipes For Health And Beauty
Before we start to provide you additional information on this topic, take a moment to think about how much you already know.
Juice What A Surprise Best Juicer Recipes For Health And Beauty - Im sure you have all seen the milk promotional campaign: "Got Milk?" The campaign launched in 1995 to boost sales by advertising the benefits of adults drinking milk using humor and celebrity pictures to convey its message. The photographs by Annie Leibovitz - such as this of Pete Sampras below - showed pictures of celebrities and popular stars proving an instant hit.
Picture by Annie Leibovitz, 1995. Tennis star Pete Sampras (see it below), the number-one-ranked world champion from 1993 to 1998and eventual seven-time Wimbledon winnerwas a fan of the milk mustache ads and volunteered to be a celebrity subject. So, here is my response to that campaign.
I feel that not enough emphasis is given to a much healthier alternative than milk: fresh raw juice, especially GREEN JUICE - in particular if you want to build strong bones and prevent osteoporosis, it's hard to beat green juice! (I promote juicing heavily on my website where one can find many juice recipes and recommendations for which juicer to buy.)
So, first I considered taking picture of myself with a green juice mustache, but I am no celebrity. Thats when I thought about Mona Lisa. Not sure if she wouldnt mind, but I decided to unscrupulously use her image anyway for the greater good! The Benefits of Juicing
Its a fact: nothing is more enzyme-rich and nutrient-rich than freshly extracted vegetable juice. Additionally it's the easiest to absorb form of nutrition available! Unfortunately, when most people think of vegetable juice, they typically picture a can of tomato juice or a bottle of V-8. What you may not realize, vegetable juices can be surprisingly tasty and even addictive - in a good way, of course.
If you end up feeling constantly tired and hungry (like I do) and craving junk food --- a glass of freshly made juice can probably help you and give you a boost of energy.
If you dont have a juicer, then go and buy one (I recommend Breville juicer, but any juicing machine will do the job) - its a good long-term investment in your health. Then buy some fruit and veggies (see the recipes below for a shopping list) ideas, make some fresh juice, and drink it! Do this twice a day for fantastic results, every day for great results, three times a week for noticeable results, or even just once a week for improvement!
Fresh juice has all nutrients that your body needs in a form which might be easily absorbed giving you instant energy boost! Its also great for your health. If you search the Internet, you can read thousands of stories about people who cured themselves of various ailments, lost weight and improved their well-being by drinking freshly made juices.
If you need some more convincing - watch this video...Juicer Recipe for a Green Juice Cocktail
There are a number of juice recipes that you could try and many books and resources are available on the subject. I'm going to give you this one recipe for a Green Juice Cocktail made with green vegetables, apples and lemon:
Simple version (few ingredients):
1 head romaine lettuce or 3 stalks of celery
5-6 leaves of kale (or other greens, e.g., 1 cup of spinach)
1 or 2 apples or pears
1 lemon (not peeled)
Optional ingredients choose what you like or have in your kitchen:
1 cucumber
1/4 to 1/2 ripe papaya (1/2 makes the juice sweeter)
1 handful of cilantro or parsley (or both for deeper green juice)
1 cup of fennel (stalk can be utilized too)
I like to add some beets or carrots sometimes too, but then of course it is no longer green juice Some people also like to add a slice of garlic and/or ginger.
Drink it every morning or afternoon to jump start your energy!
Note: It's best to drink your juice on an empty stomach.Raw V8 Juice Recipe
Unfortunately, the stuff that you buy in the supermarket in cans and bottles is loaded with salt and is certainly not freshly made. However, you may as well make your own version of V8 by experimenting with the following recipe:
3 large tomatoes
3 stalks celery
5 carrots (medium sized)
1 small beet
1/4 head fresh cabbage
1-2 bell pepper (red or green, or both)
2 cups spinach
2-3 kale leaves
1/4 sweet onion
1/2 clove garlic (optional)
Juice all the vegetables using your juicer, and enjoy as is, chilled, or with ice. If you must, add some chili pepper and/or salt to taste (optional).Fruit Juice Recipes
For those of you who like sweet fruit juices, here are three recipes for you:
Sunshine Mango Cocktail
1 mango, pitted
2 oranges, peeled
1/2 papaya, seeded
1/4 pineapple (with or without skin)
1 banana, peeled (optional)
Juice the mango first, followed by oranges, and papaya. If your juicer will handle it, simply cut up the pinaplle, skin and all, into pieces and feet them into the juicer.
Sweet Sunrise Delight
1 cup green or red grapes
1/2 lemon, peeled
2 oranges, peeled
4 ounces sparkling mineral water
Juice the grapes first, followed by the lemon and oranges. Mix with mineral water and strir.
Watermelon-Grape Delight
Don't throw away that watermelon rind! Watermelon rind is very nutrient rich:
1 wedge watermelon
1/2 lb. red grapes
You can add just about any fruit or vegetable to watermelon juice, so experiment and have some fun. This is a great weight loss juicing recipe. Find more recipes my http://www.bestjuicerrecipes.com/ blog. But why should you juice vegetables and fruit instead of just eating them?
Now that could be an excellent question!
Certainly it's best to consume fresh raw fruits and veggies in their natural state.
But the truth is we don't consume ENOUGH of these healthy foods.
Juicing makes it easy to consume LARGE amounts of fruit and veggies - and flood the body with the multitude of healthy vitamins and minerals that our nutrient-depleted bodies crave - without having to chop and then chew all the above ingredients - it sure does take a while!
What the juicer does is it separates the juice from the fiber of the vegatables and fruits making them easier to absorb (there isn't any fiber to eliminate, everything can get assimilated quickly), leaving you with organic water with all the important nutrients: vitamins, minerals, and enzymes from the plants.
Of course, eating fiber is important too; but when it is removed from the juice, your body will not have to spend precious energy on digestion. The nutrients will be absorbed instantly, going straight to the cells to do their work. So, whenever you are experiencing low energy or any health issues - make yourself some fresh juice. It cant hurt you, and will most likely help!Green Smoothies as a substitute to Green Juice
All that being said, for some people, adding large quantities of juices to their diet might not be the ideal solution for at least two reasons.
One problem with juice is that its too concentrated. If you add a whole lot of fruit and sweet vegetables (such as carrots), the juice will contain lots of sugar, not good for diabetics or people with candida issues. If youre making green juices from greens such as parsley, kale, etc. it's important to be aware consuming large amounts of them can be mildly toxic. So, while drinking a reasonable quantity of vegetable juice every day, such as 8 or 10 ounces is OK, but if you go beyond this amount, I believe youre not doing your body a favor.
Another thing is that by you leaving behind the fiber you don't get the feeling of fullness. So, drinking a juice is not a satisfying meal; but more like an appetizer.
Juicing may also be quite time consuming and messy.
Discover the power of GREEN SMOOTHIES and BLENDED SALADS!
Making smoothies and blended salads is a super easy way to eat lots of greens, and a great alternative to juicing. It is faster, less messy, and you also get fiber Along with juice, so you get that feeling of satiety.
A green smoothie, or as some call them "whole juice" is simply a fruit smoothie made with your favorite greens and veggies added in! A blended salad is made of juicy vegetables and greens, that are blended at lower speeds than a smoothie, for shorter times and without adding water. It has a thicker consistency, crunchy texture, and can be eaten from a bowl like a soup or stew. Both green smoothies and blended salads are a super easy and super yummy way to add more vegetables and fruit to your diet - especially leafy greens, that are the powerhouses of nutrition.
Visit my site http://www.greensmoothiespower.com for a FREE e-book with tips and recipes for healthy blended drinks.
For making smoothies, I recommend a Vita Mix blender, but any other blender that you've got will do.

Did U Know - Juicing For Colitis Crohn S Disease Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Juicing For Colitis Crohn S Disease Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Juicing For Colitis Crohn S Disease Irritable Bowel Syndrome - This article hopes to provide the knowledge you would like, to feel that you have a firm grasp on the topic.
One of the greatest benefits juicing provides is the opportunity to consume all of the minerals, vitamins, and enzymes in fresh fruit and veggies without the stress on your digestive system.
Although fresh fruit and veggies in their whole, un-juiced, form are an important part of most healthy peoples? diets, there are many health situations where the bowel can benefit from limiting fiber. In these cases, a person needs to avoid the ?roughage? found in vegetables and fruits yet still is badly in need of the nutrients which only produce can provide.
Juicing is an excellent answer to the nutritional challenges of people with digestive disorders such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome. All three of these disorders can have flare-ups triggered by excessive fiber intake, especially the insoluble fiber found in the skins of many vegetables and fruit in addition to in nutritious green leafy vegetables.
By using a juicer to extract juices from even the highest-fiber vegetables and fruit, an individual can benefit from all they have to offer nutritionally without the fiber acting as an irritating ?scrub brush? in their bowel. People with very limited diets due to digestive diseases or with autoimmune diseases (such as Crohn's and ulcerative colitis) are particularly in need of the extra health support fresh juices can provide through their concentrated nutrients and unique anti-inflammatory compounds.
With digestive disorders such as these, doctors sometimes suggest resting the bowel from processing all solid foods, or at least avoiding high fiber foods. Sometimes they prescribe what is called a ?low residue diet?. They tend to recommend that a patient subsist on very bland foods and processed, pasteurized, nutritionally empty fruit juices.
Homemade fruit and vegetable juices are a way more nutritious alternative for bowel rest, and certainly provide more flavor variety that could be sorely lacking in a colitis or Crohn's diet. In the case of irritable bowel syndrome, and sometimes other conditions, the pectin and other soluble fibers that do find their way into fresh juices are much less irritating than insoluble fiber and can actually help bowel movements be less painful and more well-formed.

Another benefits that juicing provides a person with a digestive disorder is the ability to consume plant compounds therapeutically. For instance, there are specific fruit and veggies known to promote healthier digestive tracts and to fight inflammation, and juicing is one of the simplest ways to concentrate their beneficial properties. Here are some anti-inflammatory and pro-digestive vegatables and fruits to try juicing:
? Carrot
? Kale
? Mango
? Pineapple
? Cabbage
? Kiwi
? White potato
? Blueberries
? Sour cherry
? Asparagus
? Beets
? Bell peppers
? Bitter Gourd
? Broccoli
? Cauliflower
? Cranberry
? Garlic
? Ginger
? Grapefruit
Please note that cruciferous vegetables such as kale, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, etc. may cause gas and discomfort for some people with gastrointestinal disorders, though they also have anti-inflammatory properties. Try them in small amounts to see how you tolerate them. Also note that acidic vegetables and fruits such as tomato, pineapple and grapefruit may be irritating for some people with irritable bowel syndrome.
The juices mentioned above can be mixed with soluble fiber powder for irritable bowel patients who have diarrhea or constipation. For people with Crohn's disease they are often mixed with healthy oils like flax seed oil, Omega 3 fish oils, extra virgin olive oil or avocado to increase caloric content and provide much-needed dietary fats. Omega 3 fish oils are helpful for all inflammatory disorders including inflammation of the intestines or stomach.
When living with diseases and disorders that affect your intestines, supporting your nutritional health while avoiding irritation of your colon is key. There are a lot of benefits that juicing can provide to people with ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome. Fresh vegatables and fruits contain powerful phytochemicals that can help you heal and increase your comfort and wellbeing.
As with all material changes to your lifestyle, please consult your medical professional before adopting a new nutritional program, especially if you are currently suffering from digestive tract disorders.
In closing, it will benefit you to seek out other resources on this topic if you feel that you dont yet have a firm understanding of the subject matter.
