Fruit And Vegetable Juicer?
It's kind of funny, my husband and son had picked out a Christmas gift for me all on their own. They were quite excited for me to open it too. I didn't know quite what to say when I pulled out that box and read "electric juicer".
I don't remember ever mentioning wanting one. I did need a new mixer, but bless their little hearts they thought this was the coolest gadget ever.
I happen to love eating my vegatables and fruits in their whole, un-squeezed form. I've never had a problem with the taste of any of them. I couldn't really imagine mixing several varieties together in one glass, especially mixing vegetables and fruit together.
After Christmas, I put the juicer away with some of my other gadgets, wondering when I might try it. It didn't take long, however, since my husband and son were both very anxious to try some juice made from this mysterious beast.
I think I had more fun watching their faces than anything else. My son, who thinks the best fruit is apple pie, was anxiously waiting for his juice. My husband is not a picky eater but often doesn't take the time to grab a fresh fruit or veggie.
My first batch of juice consisted of just mixing some oranges and apples together. The boys watched the mutilation of the fruit like it was some wild science experiment. The great thing was, especially for my son, was that he loved the juice. I actually loved it too. It was much better than any store bought juices.
Later I started experimenting with throwing a carrot or other vegetable in here and there. Still my son liked it. I was beginning to think that I could throw in a rotten egg and he would like the juice!
It dawned on me that this was a great way for me to get my son to drink his fruit and vegetables. And, for my husband with his busy schedule, this was an ideal way to get all of his daily fruit and vegetable intake in one sitting.
This was turning out to be a great Christmas gift for those gift givers! I love the juice too and I love knowing that my family is healthier now because of it.Health Benefits Of Juicing
